The fast fashion chain went bankrupt last month after suppliers owed millions of pounds petitioned for the company to be wound up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Missguided hired Teneo to oversee the administration process. Customers on social media have reported that they have been told that their refunds will not be honoured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When a company goes bankrupt and owes money to creditors, customers typically face a battle to get their money back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group has agreed to purchase Missguided for around \u00a320 million, but the transaction is not expected to close until August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emma Devlin, 30, a teacher from Teesside, told she is waiting for a refund for \u00a3160 worth of Missguided clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s pretty shambolic because so many people have paid for items, returned them, and lost all of that money,” Emma said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the current cost of living, people need all the help they can get. “Misguided have pretty much taken the money with no explanation other than an apology for going into administration.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Can’t believe I sent my items back and now this,” said another customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Missguided website is currently unavailable, preventing customers from browsing or placing orders due to “maintenance pixies.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A message reads, “Our maintenance pixies are currently working their magic on the site.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We’ll get back to you soon; in the meantime, check out our blog or contact our customer service team for assistance with an existing order…”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It comes a day after Frasers confirmed that Missguided founder Nitin Passi will be rehired as the company’s CEO once the takeover is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
