Total recoveries stand at 476,471.<\/p>\n<h2>Coronavirus vaccine<\/h2>\n<p>Pakistan has yet to finalise an order for the COVID-19 vaccine. The government has been in talks with six leading manufacturers.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan\u00a0told Reuters\u00a0that the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan had granted emergency use authorisation to the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Sindh Health Minister\u00a0Dr Azra Pechuho has emphasised\u00a0the need for vaccination and said the vaccines cannot be imported until the federal government approves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, Pakistan is the last country that has yet to order vaccines,\u201d she said. \u201cProcuring vaccines is the federal government\u2019s responsibility. If they can\u2019t do it, they should allow the provincial government to procure vaccines and start administering them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added that 70% to 80% of Pakistan\u2019s population needs to
