{"id":20263,"date":"2024-10-22T17:45:17","date_gmt":"2024-10-22T12:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/?p=20263"},"modified":"2024-10-22T17:45:18","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T12:45:18","slug":"supreme-court-sends-names-of-judges-for-new-chief-justice-appointment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/2024\/10\/22\/supreme-court-sends-names-of-judges-for-new-chief-justice-appointment\/","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Court sends names of judges for new chief justice appointment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said on Tuesday that the parliamentary committee meeting will start again at 8:30 pm today.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to details, Tarar had urged the committee to consult the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in connection with the appointment of a new chief justice of Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAny of the members of the committee should go and convince the PTI and SIC over the matter,\u201d Tarar said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tarar maintained: \u201cWe have requested the PTI and SIC leaders to become part of the committee meeting through telephonic conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parliamentary committee meeting kicked off on Tuesday in a bid to appoint the new chief justice of Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to details, prominent among those who reached the committee room were Khawaja Asif, Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Ahsan Iqbal.
