Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has expressed concerns over the continued use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities in Pakistan. During his weekly briefing, he urged the Afghan government to take the matter seriously and prevent such incidents.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on the closure of the Torkham border, the spokesperson clarified that the closure resulted from Afghan forces constructing outposts in disputed territory. He condemned the unrest at the border and reiterated Pakistan\u2019s stance on maintaining good neighborly relations with Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also reaffirmed that Pakistan\u2019s security and counterterrorism cooperation with the U.S. is an ongoing process, stating that the arrest and extradition of terrorist Sharifullah was not an isolated operation. Consular communication between the two countries remains active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rejecting the recent statement by the Indian Foreign Minister on Kashmir, Khan stressed that the longstanding concerns of the Kashmiri people cannot be resolved merely through economic recovery. He emphasized that a solution to the Kashmir issue must align with United Nations Security Council resolutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spokesperson also strongly condemned Israeli restrictions on Gaza during Ramadan.
