{"id":22310,"date":"2026-08-25T12:56:32","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T07:56:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/?p=22310"},"modified":"2026-08-25T12:56:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T07:56:34","slug":"pakistan-receives-over-763mln-in-external-financial-assistance-in-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/2026\/08\/25\/pakistan-receives-over-763mln-in-external-financial-assistance-in-july\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan receives over $763mln in external financial assistance in July"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pakistan received more than $763 million in external financial assistance during July, the first month of the current fiscal year, according to official data released by the Economic Affairs Division.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government received $744.6 million in loans, while $18.3 million came in the form of grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total external assistance is equivalent to around Rs214.99 billion, including Rs209.88 billion in loans and Rs5.10 billion in grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The data showed that Pakistan received around 10% more external financial assistance in July compared with the same month last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, external financial assistance declined sharply on a month-on-month basis. The Economic Affairs Division reported an 81% decrease compared with June 2026, when Pakistan received more than $4 billion in external assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International organisations provide major share<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the data, various international organisations provided around $252.8 million to Pakistan during July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The World Bank provided $130 million, while the Asian Development Bank (ADB) extended a loan of $59.1 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">China provided $146.6 million in guaranteed loans during the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bilateral countries collectively provided around $19.6 million in external financial assistance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan received more than $763 million in external financial assistance during July, the first month<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":22311,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"spay_email":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2,215,19],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-22310","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","category-latest","category-pakistan"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v18.4.1 -
