{"id":22361,"date":"2026-09-08T17:13:40","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T12:13:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/?p=22361"},"modified":"2026-09-08T17:13:43","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T12:13:43","slug":"nora-fatehis-aircraft-remarks-land-her-in-%e2%82%b93-crore-defamation-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyrapidnews.com\/eng\/2026\/09\/08\/nora-fatehis-aircraft-remarks-land-her-in-%e2%82%b93-crore-defamation-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Nora Fatehi\u2019s aircraft remarks land her in \u20b93 crore defamation case"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dunes Aviation has filed a \u20b93 crore civil defamation suit against actor Nora Fatehi, alleging that her social media comments about one of the company\u2019s chartered aircraft caused reputational damage and significant business losses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The case has been filed before a Gandhinagar court and is scheduled to be heard by Senior Civil Judge R Agarwal on September 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the suit, Fatehi recorded videos inside a Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft while travelling from Mumbai to Jaipur in December last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The actor later shared the videos on Instagram, where she reportedly referred to the aircraft using terms including \u201cminiature\u201d, \u201ctoy\u201d and \u201cLego airplane\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dunes Aviation alleges business losses<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dunes Aviation has described the remarks as \u201creckless\u201d and \u201cirresponsible\u201d, alleging that they were made without technical knowledge, verification or a factual basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company claimed that Fatehi\u2019s large social media following amplified the comments and resulted in booking cancellations and a decline in business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the suit filed in April, Dunes Aviation alleges that its bookings fell by 15\u201320%, while cancellations increased following the actor\u2019s posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aviation company has claimed that the remarks resulted in what it described as \u201cserious reputational damage, loss of goodwill and adverse commercial impact\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Company says aircraft was certified<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dunes Aviation has maintained that the aircraft was standard and appropriately sized for the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company said the Cessna Citation CJ2 was DGCA-certified and airworthy and was being operated legally under a valid Non-Scheduled Operator\u2019s Permit (NSOP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The claims made in the suit are allegations and will be subject to proceedings before the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dunes seeks removal of social media posts<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to seeking \u20b93 crore in damages, Dunes Aviation has asked the court to direct Fatehi to remove social media content containing the alleged statements or references to the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has also sought a public clarification from the actor over the remarks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dunes Aviation has filed a \u20b93 crore civil defamation suit against actor Nora Fatehi, alleging<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":22362,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"spay_email":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[21,4,446],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-22361","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-entertainment","category-newsbeat","category-trending"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v18.4.1 -
