<\/p>\nTwo gang-rape suspects were shot dead during an encounter in the early hours of Sunday.<\/p>\n
The suspects had allegedly raped an 18-year-old Christian girl in front of her family about 25 days back. Saddar Farooqabad police had arrested the suspects on charge of gang rape.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, a police team, led by Sub-Inspector Irshad, was escorting the suspects to the site where they had raped the girl to recover some looted goods.<\/p>\n
As soon as the police van reached there, a group of suspects\u2019 accomplices attacked police and got the rape suspects freed.<\/p>\n
Earlier, a 6-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered allegedly with the connivance of her cousin in the Mohlanwal area of Lahore.<\/p>\n
According to sources, the prime suspect Rizwan, the cousin of the victim Ayesha, and his alleged co-conspirator Allah Ditta took the minor to nearby fields where they sexually abused her and then murdered her.<\/p>\n
On insistence by Allah Ditta, Rizwan abducted his cousin Ayesha and then after she was murdered, following her ghastly calamity meted out by two suspects, the suspects acted na\u00efve and pretended to look for her with the grieving family, police said.<\/p>\n
According to police record, 22 cases were registered against Pervez and 14 cases were registered against Junaid in different police stations.<\/p>\n

Two days ago, the police were taking the two brothers to the village of Asher to recover the looted goods when four of their accomplices attacked the police team and got the suspects freed from their handcuffs and took them to an unknown place on motorcycles during the late hours of the day.<\/p>\n
The two robbers, Pervez and Junaid, along with three others, were looting vehicles near Khanqah Dogran.<\/p>\n
When local people gathered, they fled towards Sheikhupura on a motorcycle.<\/p>\n
On the way, the police at Awan Bhattian village check-post tried to stop them, but they exchanged fire with the police. During the police encounter, both the brothers were shot dead by the firing of their own three accomplices, the police said.<\/p>\n
According to the DPO, the search for the remaining suspects was underway. The bodies of the two deceased brothers had been shifted to DHQ Hospital.<\/p>\n
A resident of Asher village told The Express Tribune that the 16-year-old girl who was gang raped by the three brothers was the daughter of Gulzar Masih, a labourer from Kakargul village.<\/p>\n
