This is the shocking moment building workers found a 14ft snake next to a popular pub in Scotland.<\/p>\n

The huge reptile, believed to be a\u00a0Burmese python, was coiled up next to a metal fence and the men thought it was dead \u2013 before it started to slither.<\/p>\n

It comes amid fears there could be more on the loose in\u00a0Greenock, Renfrewshire, after a dead one was found nearby.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile three snakes and a cat were found dead in Lanarkshire woods in what the SSPCA branded an \u2018very unusual incident\u2019 just weeks ago.<\/p>\n

The live snake was found opposite a normally busy pub \u2013 closed due to the pandemic \u2013 and footage was posted online<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The clip shows one of the workers daring to approach the beast, before saying: \u2018F****** hell man, look at the size of it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Locals joked about the find on social media, with one saying:\u00a0\u2018Greenock\u2019s best gaff in the country no doubt, where else in Scotland has snakes kicking about it the now.\u2019<\/p>\n

Another said: \u2018As if there weren\u2019t enough snakes slithering around the streets of Greenock.\u2019<\/p>\n
