Salman Toor, a Lahore-born painter, has been named among\u00a02021 TIME100 Next<\/a>\u00a0most influential people in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone on this list is poised to make history,\u201d\u00a0says\u00a0Dan Macsai, the TIME100 editorial director. \u201cAnd in fact, many already have.\u201d<\/p>\n

Toor comments on societal norms by using conventional depictions for unconventional characters, mainly openly queer South Asian men.<\/p>\n
