I also have not had my second round of chemo either because of a persistent infection and during this time I have wondered, \u2018what if the government lends a hand in this? what if they set up some policies for older people from the arts and sports sector?\u201d<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Frabia.abidali%2Fvideos%2F4000977916612240%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=261\" width=\"261\" height=\"476\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"content-area\" data-io-article-url=\"https:\/\/www.geo.tv\/latest\/343153-naila-jafry-demands-royalty-payouts-amid-cancer-strain\">\n<p>She explained, \u201cWhen I initially joined PTV I would get royalties for re-run shows and while that amount was nowhere near enough, I still got something and liked having a stream of disposable income on the side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been confined to a hospital bed for six years\u2019 now and while everyone has supported me, loved me, helped me and motivated me I wish there was some way to gain royalties on some of my last re-run plays.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While I understand that it might not look like a lot to many people, for people like me who stopped working years ago, this support becomes important. I request and demand that something be done for senior artists in the future since its became harder and harder for us to manage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For those unversed with the star\u2019s repertoire, she has been an active member of the entertainment industry since the 1990\u2019s and has showcased her acting chops in a number of productions including\u00a0<i>Maa Mujh ko Sulana, Desi Girls<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Thodi Si Khushiyan.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>In the last couple of years, however, she was forced to bid farewell to the TV industry due to her ovarian cancer diagnosis and has been
