A mum-of-three was forced to flee an organised dinosaur park run after an “idiot” called the police on her.<\/p>\n

Samantha Clarkson and five friends donned the 7ft tall historical reptilian costumes and headed around Moss Bank Park in Bolton.<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old’s joy raising plan seemed to work, with wide-eyed youngsters watching on in glee, the\u00a0Manchester Evening News reported.<\/p>\n

The park plod was brought to a swift end however when a man approached the group and asked if they had a permit before reporting them to the police.<\/p>\n

Samantha and her fellow dinosaurs, played by her husband Dean, friends Deborah and Warren and daughters in law, Ella and Emily, were forced to flee the park.<\/p>\n

Samantha, a childminder, said: \u201cWe were having a wonderful time and kids were loving it, then we found out some idiot had phoned the police, I couldn\u2019t believe it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were just trying to cheer some kids up after such a miserable year, we weren\u2019t hurting anyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had no choice but to leave because we didn\u2019t want to risk getting arrested, although watching the police chase six dinosaurs would have been funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to visiting the park, Samantha posted on\u00a0Facebook to let locals know they could attend with their kids.<\/p>\n

Her two sons, Noah and Harry, went along in order to ensure the crowd remained socially distanced and no one got too close to the dinosaurs.<\/p>\n

Samantha added: \u201cWe were concerned about the safety aspect and we made sure that everyone would take care, that\u2019s why my sons came.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone was being sensible anyway, there were no problems at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Samantha, who runs a childminding business, said 9p minutes into the fun-filled event one of her sons was approached by the man in question.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cAt first it was like he was just interested in what we were doing, he was asking questions.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut then he said, \u2018have you got a permit?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd after that, he rang the police, which is when we knew we had to leave. We didn\u2019t want to get arrested or anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Samantha added: \u201cIt was such a shame because the kids haven\u2019t had much to do over the past 12 months, which is why we wanted to go out in the outfits.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea was just to give people a bit of a laugh, and it was going really well until this man rang the police.\u201d<\/p>\n

Samantha, from Darwen, said she was unable to sleep on Saturday night because she was \u201cso angry\u201d about the altercation with the man at the park.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cWhen I woke up on Sunday I said, \u2018that\u2019s it I\u2019m going back out\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t want to let that man decide what we could and couldn\u2019t do, so Dean and I headed back out in the outfits.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a great time and the kids loved it. Luckily we didn\u2019t see the man again.\u201d<\/p>\n

She has her sights set on breaking the world record for \u2018most people in dinosaur outfits in one place\u2019, which is currently set at 252.<\/p>\n

Samantha said: \u201cIt would be great to get the record, I think we can do it. Let\u2019s hope no one calls the police.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
