Massive gas reserve found in Sindh

A large gas deposit has been discovered in the Khairpur district of Sindh.

This discovery, located in the Savon South Block, is expected to yield an impressive one crore standard cubic feet of gas per day from the newly tapped wells.

The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) announced the discovery in a letter sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The correspondence highlighted the potential of this find to enhance the country’s energy security and bolster its gas reserves at a time when energy demand is on the rise.

OGDCL’s letter also specified that both Sindh and federal companies hold a stake in this venture, each owning 2.5% of the operation.
