Punjab sets 60km/h speed limit for motorcycles

The Punjab government has announced a speed limit of 60 kilometres per hour for motorcycles across the province in an effort to reduce road accidents caused by speeding.

The decision was revealed by Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari, who expressed concern over the rising number of fatalities on the roads.

“It is tragic that people are losing their lives due to speeding,” Bukhari stated, emphasizing the importance of this regulation to ensure public safety.

She further added that strict measures will be enforced to ensure compliance with the new speed limit. “The speed of the motorcycle will not exceed 60km/h.”
