Four TikTokers shot dead in Karachi’s Garden area

Four TikTokers, including one female, were shot dead near Anklesaria Hospital in Karachi’s Garden area early on Tuesday morning, officials said.

City Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sarfaraz Nawaz Shaikh said all four deceased were active on social media, particularly Tik Tok. He said two of those who died, identified as Muskan and Amir, were friends.

According to the official, Muskan called Amir, asking him to meet on Monday night. Amir arranged a car and took his friends, Rehan and Sajjad, to meet her.

“All four of them roamed the city and [Amir and Muskan] also made TikTok videos [during that time],” the police officer said.

The woman was identified as 32-year-old Muskan Sheikh, resident of Landhi, whereas the men were identified as 29-year-old Saddam Hussein, son of Abdullah Jan Ghamgin, resident of Mohalla Gulshan-e-Ghazi, Baldia Town; 24-year-old Syed Rehan Shah, son of Syed Naseer Hussain Shah, resident of Mohalla Tauheed Nagar Gulshan Ghazi Colony in Baldia Town; and 25-year-old Aamir Khan, son of Asif Khan, resident of Mohalla Buri Bangla in Patel Para.

Victims Saddam and Rehan were also said to national police volunteers.

According to the police, while Muskan died on the sport, the men were rushed to the Civil Hospital in an injured condition where they later succumbed to their injuries.

According to eyewitnesses, the four were shot at by people following their car in a rickshaw. As the car came to a halt, the suspects stepped of the rickshaw, surrounded the car and fired at the deceased before fleeing the scene.

The police claimed to have recovered nine shells of a 9mm pistol from the spot, which were sent to the forensic laboratory. The case is being further investigated.
