After three seasons, the cast of Derry Girls predicts an emotional ending

The ensemble of Derry Girls teases an emotional finale to the show after three seasons, indicating that ‘the spin-off potential are limitless.’

The cast of Derry Girls has said that they are still ‘processing’ their final day on set for the iconic Channel 4 series as the final season of the show approaches its premiere.

In a new interview with Cosmopolitan UK, the cast teases the ’emotional’ last chapter ahead of the season three premiere on April 12.

The characters will manage their personal challenges as they approach maturity in the third and final season, which will premiere on Channel 4, with Louisa Harland, who portrays Orla McCool, pronouncing it to be ‘the best series,’ and Nicola Coughlan, who plays Clare Devlin.

However, she adds that putting together the final episodes was an emotional rollercoaster due to the pandemic delays.

‘It was difficult to get to this position because we were repeatedly delayed by Covid and a variety of other factors.’ As a result, getting started was a challenge… But I really hope we’ve done the show’s viewers proud, since that’s what we all want,’ the actress continued.

Fans are in for a surprise, as Erin Quinn’s co-star Saoirse-Monica Jackson has announced that their friends and family will appear as extras this time.

‘Those are memories you’ll cherish for the rest of your life.’ It feels like such a special day, even if it’s for someone else’s family… They don’t get full parts, but they do get to act in them.
