Hytera, the world’s biggest provider of professional communications technologies and solutions, just released its annual Corporate Responsibility Report, which details the company’s ESG performance in 2021.

As a significant player in the Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) business, Hytera has a long tradition of providing stakeholders with comprehensive information on its annual sales and ESG performance. The report summarizes the previous year’s accomplishments, which include business development, environmental sustainability, and technological support for public events and disaster relief across the world.

Hytera’s overall R&D expenditure had climbed to USD 162 million by the end of 2021, accounting for 18.05 percent of sales revenue, and R&D workers accounted for almost 40% of the workforce. Hytera has filed for a total of 2,892 patents, including 507 PCT patents, 291 international patents, and 79 patents for 5G and LEO satellites; the overall patent licensing rate is 93.32 percent.

In the last several years, the market has acknowledged Hytera’s PMR-LTE convergent solutions, and the company has implemented over 200 converged multi-media PTT platforms globally and collaborated with over 20 local operators to better support more vertical industrial needs. Hytera won the “Best Use of Critical Communications in Utilities” award from the International Critical Communications Awards (ICAA) in 2021.
