Petrol price goes up by Rs1.08 per litre; diesel increases by Rs0.51
Petrol and high-speed diesel prices have been increased again under the daily petroleum pricing mechanism, with the new rates taking effect from September 2.
The price of petrol has been increased by Rs1.08 per litre to reach Rs343.87 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs0.51 paisa per litre to Rs370.92.
The latest increase comes after the federal government had earlier raised petrol prices by Rs0.77 per litre while cutting the price of HSD by Rs1.03 for September 2026.
It is pertinent to note that according to a Petroleum Division notification issued on Monday, the earlier revised prices took effect from September 1, 2026.
Under that revision, petrol rose from Rs342.02 to Rs342.79 per litre, while HSD fell from Rs371.44 to Rs370.41 per litre.
