The ski resort’s season comes to an end with the ‘Dummy Downhill’ event.
The annual Downhill Dummy event at a ski resort in British Columbia marked the end of the season, sending 13 dummy skiers careening down the slopes.
Over the weekend, 13 phoney skiers manufactured by Apex Mountain Resort personnel and locals climbed the slopes, resulting in some spectacular collisions, according to the resort.
“It’s the world’s highest flying dummy downhill that we’re aware of, because it originates from our aerial site; no other dummy downhill originates from an aerial site.” So these dummies are 60 to 70 feet in the air before they crash,” Apex Mountain Resort general manager James Shalman told Castanet.
Approximately 500 people, according to Shalman.
