In an attack, seven troopers slain and four terrorists killed

After attacking a military convoy near the Pakistan-Afghan border on Thursday, seven troops chose death, while four terrorists were gunned down.

The terrorists ambushed the military convoy along the Pakistan-Afghan border in the general region of Isham in North Waziristan District, according to a statement provided by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“Troops responded quickly, effectively engaged, and killed four terrorists.” “However, seven soldiers chose martyrdom after an intensive exchange of fire,” the ISPR stated in a statement.

Ijaz Hussain, Sepoy (age 27 years, resident of Khairpur)

Waqar Ahmed, Sepoy (age 25 years, resident of Mirpur Khas)

Muhammad Jawad Ameer, Sepoy (age 24 years, resident of Chakwal)

Arshad Ali, Sepoy (age 23 years, resident of Sohbatpur)

According to the ISPR, a clearance operation is under place in the region to eradicate any terrorists.

“The Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism,” the statement continued, “and such sacrifices by our gallant warriors enhance our commitment.”
