The 96-year-old monarch’s last-minute absence has generated new health concerns.
She was supposed to be chauffeured the 500 yards from her Windsor Castle private apartments to watch her five-year-old horse First Responder compete.
However, her appearance was abruptly cancelled minutes before her horse was scheduled to compete.
Given her increasing mobility issues, it’s thought there were reservations about the quantity of photographers there.
However, it is understood that the Queen went to see her other horses entered in the four-day competition at the Royal Ascot shortly afterwards.
Prince Harry’s ambitions to use the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee tour to repair his breach with Prince William have been questioned by a royal expert.
The split between the two royal brothers is “very deep and really personal,” according to Vanity Fair journalist Erin Vanderhoof, and has only become worse in recent months.
“Meghan and Harry will use the Jubilee as an occasion to create some family moments and introduce the kids to the rest of the family,” Ms Vanderho of revealed.
And they’ll make an effort to ensure that they understand that they can still find anything out in the future.
