Half-term chaos as flights are cancelled and passengers line up in the street for the ‘zoo’ airport.
In the midst of half-term holiday chaos across the country, frustrated holidaymakers were left waiting in a massive line outside Bristol Airport this morning.
Passengers flying out of Bristol said there were over 1,000 people in a 300-metre long line for departures today.
It comes just one day after the airport was dubbed a “zoo” due to hours-long delays and massive lines.
TUI customers had to wait eight hours at Manchester Airport before being notified via text that their vacations had been cancelled.
Meanwhile, passengers at Gatwick Airport have complained about flight cancellations and long lines.
“Just got to #bristolairport,” tweeted Paul Trueman, who posted a photo of the massive line at Bristol Airport. This is the line for the departure gates at 5 a.m. “That building in the distance is the airport.”
“@easyJet, what are you paying for at @BristolAirport?” another passenger tweeted.
Only half of the security lanes are open, and none of them are fast track. It took me two hours to complete. Queues began 300m outside on the road.”
Meanwhile, Paul Smith shared another photo of a large crowd waiting at Bristol departures this morning.
He stated: “Bristol Airport (#bristolairport) there has already been an hour of waiting outside the longstay carpark. The flight to Belfast will be faster than being at the airport. #nothopefull “
One vacationer said she waited two hours at the airport today just to check in her family’s luggage.
She continued, saying: “@BristolAirport is completely over.
