Talks on religious seminaries registration continue between govt, JUI-F
The government and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) are actively engaged in discussions regarding the registration of religious seminaries (madrasas) as government has shown willingness about a new draft for the registration process.
Senator Kamran Murtaza and the government’s legal team are expected to play a key role in advancing these discussions.
Sources indicate that the government is considering various options to convince Maulana Fazlur Rehman, including honoring the 2019 agreement between the two sides.
Other options under consideration involve registering madrasas either under the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Interior.
