“Freedom House” is an independent and non-governmental institution which is financially supported by American government. This institute researches on democracy. This institute published his new report (2021) on democracy ranking.

In his report it decreased Indian rank from free to semi-free country. However BJP condemned it and said it is propaganda against the India. In this report, it is said that: in the period of BJP government world largest democracy is going toward the dictatorship.

In this report the events of 195 countries and more than 15 regions of the world from (Jan 2020 to Dec 2020) have been collected. BJP leader commented on this report and said, it is just propaganda against India. Further he said, imperialism of western powers has finished but their imperialistic thoughts haven’t finished.

He said, in Modi government people are allowed to criticize government and judiciary is free. In India, media works independently. TV channels talk every day on every topic freely. In the report of “Freedom House” rebel violence against Muslims of India, threaten to journalists, and intervention in courts have been mentioned.

Further it is said, instead of taking world largest democracy championship award Modi government is going to through India into the black hole of dictatorship. It has been also narrated in this report that, the leadership of India gave preference to the “Hindus” nationalist interests, instead of giving basic rights to the public. It is said in report, in COVID days India imposed lockdown in very crap way. Because due to this lockdown millions of poor workers faced hurdles.

Former head of amnesty international and south Asia said, the report which is published by “Freedom House” has very highly importance and the questions which have been raised by this report will always follow India on every forum. Writer and worker of human rights “Akar Patel” says: In last few years, India is loosing different ranking indexes like, two index of world bank, and three index of world economic forum. He says: it is governance problem. Government before 2014 was not like this.
