All Pakistan Value Added Textile Association postpones scheduled protest camp

The All Pakistan Value Added Textile Association has postponed a scheduled protest camp to be established in clock tower today after a zoom meeting with Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.

Addressing a meeting in Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA), Mian Farruk Iqbal Senior Vice Chairman PHMA North Zone said that Mr. Razak Dawood discussed their problems and assured to resolve the same at the earliest.

Mian Farrukh Iqbal said that on the assurance of Mr. Razak Dawood and in consultation with the representatives of the value added textile sector, they have decided to postpone the protest camp. He was optimistic that the government will consider their demands sympathetically and clamp ban on yarn export in addition to withdrawing all duties on the yarn import in order to overcome the shortage of raw material.
