Thanks for Pandemic Work: McDonald’s gives NHS staff 20 per cent off all meals

McDonald’s is giving NHS workers 20 per cent off its entire menu for the rest of the year as a gesture of thanks for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

The discount is being made to frontline heroes to mark “Freedom Day” on Monday, July 19

The fast food giant is offering the generous deal as a token of thanks to National Health Service workers for their work over the last 15 months, and beyond.

The NHS offer is available exclusively on the My McDonald’s App, Hull Live reports.

The discount can be used once per week by an eligible customer.

Restaurants are open for walk-in and takeaway, and customers can order via the drive-thru, McDelivery and click & serve options using the brand’s new app with Uber.

The new app has been introduced in a pilot with the delivery giant.

It is the first time McDonald’s has offered UK customers a fully in-app delivery ordering option.

Its bosses say it has introduced the app pilot with Uber as customers are increasingly opting for delivery and takeaway options instead of dining in following the year of lockdowns.
