Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye to meet in Riyadh on Makkah deal
A meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee (SPDC), established under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, will be held in Riyadh today, with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir participating.
The meeting will bring together senior political and defence officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to review regional developments and cooperation under the agreement.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the SPDC meeting is being convened under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
Saudi Arabia and Türkiye will be represented by their foreign ministers, defence ministers and chiefs of general staff. Pakistan will participate through Dar, Khawaja Asif and Asim Munir.
The meeting will review the regional situation and cooperation under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. Discussions will also focus on advancing ongoing cooperation within the framework of the agreement.
The Foreign Office said Pakistan’s participation reflects its commitment to promoting regional peace and stability.
