PESHAWAR: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Peshawar this evening (Saturday) to discuss the sighting of the Ramadan 1443 AH moon.

The meeting will be presided over by Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Committee.

The meetings will be held at the zonal committees’ separate headquarters across the country.

The weather department predicts that the Ramadan ul Mubarak moon would be seen in Pakistan today.

“There is a probability that the Ramadan moon will be visible across the country today.” If this occurs, the first day of Ramadan will be April 3 (Sunday),” according to the meteorological department, which also stated that Sha’ban (the current month) will have 29 days this year.

The Karachi Met Department will host a zonal committee meeting. Maulana Muhammed Salfi will preside over the zonal committee meeting in Karachi.

According to the meteorological department, sunset in Karachi will be at 6:49 p.m. on April 2nd, and the moon will be visible on the horizon until 7:57 p.m. It also stated that the moon’s age at sunset today will be 31 hours and 48 minutes.

The first fast of Ramadan was observed on Saturday after the moon of Ramadan was spotted in Saudi Arabia on Friday (today).
