LAHORE: On Saturday, Nauman Langrial, a member of the Punjab legislature, formally announced the support of the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group for the PML-N nominee for Punjab chief minister.

The MPA told a press conference that the group, which includes PTI dissidents, made its decision based on “honesty, sincerity, and for the country’s benefit,” and that he hoped Hamza would perform well in the province.

Langrial claimed that the organisation will “completely support” Hamza while also highlighting any “wrongdoings and working to prevent them.”

Outgoing Chief Minister Buzdar was attacked by the JKT group’s chairman, who accused him of fostering corruption and damaging the PTI.

Prior to Jahangir Tareen’s group, the PTI’s Aleem Khan group declared support for the PML-N.
