The first Australian trip to Pakistan in 24 years was a resounding success.

The Australians won the Test series 1-0 and the lone T20I by three wickets Friday night.

Pakistan won the one-day international series 2-1 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistani captain, praised the Australian squad and management for touring Pakistan and making the trip a big success.

“I would like to congratulate the entire Australian squad & mgmt for coming to [Pakistan] after 24 years,” Afridi posted on Twitter.

He also stated his want for other major teams to visit Pakistan.

He also commended the security personnel for their efforts. He also praised the supporters who came to the stadiums to watch the games and support their favourite club.
