Senate Chairman Shehbaz Sharif swore Shehbaz Sharif in as Pakistan’s Prime Minister
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani delivered the oath of Prime Minister of Pakistan to Shehbaz Sharif at a ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.
It is important to note that President Dr. Arif Alvi has taken a short leave of absence due to illness. After a thorough examination, the doctor suggested him to take a few days off.
“President Dr. Arif Alvi has complained of uneasiness,” the White House announced in a Twitter post. The doctor checked him extensively and told him to take it easy for a few days.”
The ceremony was attended by all coalition partners, including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, MQM leader Ameenul Haq, Khalid Magsi, Aleem Khan, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Sharif, and other political figures.
Shehbaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was previously elected as Pakistan’s 23rd Prime Minister.
Shehbaz Sharif received 174 votes to become Pakistan’s 23rd Prime Minister, according to National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
After toppling previous Prime Minister Imran Khan in the early hours of Sunday, the National Assembly convened to elect Pakistan’s 23rd Prime Minister.
The House Leader was chosen by a vote held in the NA lobby, which had been set aside for the occasion.
Following the end of the voting procedure, the votes were counted, and the NA speaker announced the winner.
It should be remembered that in the 342-member House, 172 votes are necessary to be chosen as Leader of the House.
