Jyoti Deswal  joined the list of Yami Gautam’s admirers.

Yami Gautam has responded to praise for her performance in her latest film Dasvi from a retired IPS officer. Jyoti Deswal, an IPS officer who works as a prison superintendent in Dasvi, is played by Yami. Yami’s social media representation was praised by RK Vij, a retired IPS officer, who said she looked “similar to our new IPS women officers.”

Yami’s portrayal of a cop has received excellent reviews from both fans and critics. A retired SDGP named RK Vij is the latest in a long line of admirers. RK Vij is a former IPS officer from the 1988 batch and a retired Special Director General of Police.

He took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a post from Dasvi that included Yami’s look in the film. “A delightful entertainer with an essential social message!” wrote RK Vij for the Hindi title of the film. In terms of excitement, all three performed brilliantly, and #yamigautam in uniform resembled our young #IPS female officers.” Some fans agreed with the officer’s sentiments. One person remarked, “Exactly looking Fab in uniform.”

In response to the senior officer’s compliments, Yami retweeted the original message. “Sir, coming from you, it’s the most lovely praise I’ve ever received” (folded hands emoji) “Thank you so much,” she wrote next to it.
