Tomorrow, a new Punjab Chief Minister will be elected. Hamza Sharif of the PML-N and Pervaiz Elahi of the PML-Q are vying for the position of Punjab Chief Minister.
On Friday, a division bench of the Lahore High Court ordered Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari to hold a fair, transparent, and impartial election for the province’s next chief minister on April 16. (tomorrow).
The bench also ordered the deputy speaker to make national/international observers, media representatives, representatives of PILDAT, Fafen, and other organizations, and others, more comfortable during the election for the position of chief minister.
Justice Shujaat Ali Khan and Justice Jawad Hassan, who sat on the bench, instructed the chief secretary and the inspector general of police to guarantee a safe environment.
