Kamala Harris and Mark Zuckerberg barred from travelling to Russia.
In retaliation for sanctions imposed over Ukraine, Russia placed tour bans on US Vice President Kamala Harris, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and hundreds of other notable Americans and Canadians on Thursday.
The Russian foreign ministry warned that the travel restrictions on 29 Americans and 61 Canadians — which include defense officials, business figures, and journalists from both countries — might last indefinitely.
ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, and the editor of the Russia-focused Meduza news website Kevin Rothrock are among the Americans on the list.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby and Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks are among the US defense officials.
Cameron Ahmad, who serves in the Canadian military, is at the top of the list of Canadians.
