Pakistan places a high priority on its ties with the European Union.
Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, called Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday to congratulate him on his appointment as Prime Minister.
He emphasized the European Commission’s desire to deepen the bilateral ties with Pakistan during the conversation.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the congratulations and added that Pakistan values its relations with the European Union, which are founded on shared values and shared goals of peace, prosperity, and growth.
The necessity of deeper trade and investment links between Pakistan and the European Commission was stressed by the Prime Minister.
He praised the GSP Plus agreement, emphasizing that it is a win-win situation for all parties involved.
