During a family feud over Sam’s Oscar slap, Jada Pinkett Smith ‘insisted’ on a trip.

Despite the fact that the Smith family has been relentlessly chastised since Will Smith’s Oscars rejection last month, Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t letting the scandal ruin her vacation.

“Will and Jada have taken the family on already planned vacation,” a source told Us Weekly of the Hollywood couple’s trip to India with their children, Jaden Smith, 23, and Willow Smith, 21. “There was talk of cancelling [the trip], but Jada was adamant.”

According to the site, the King Richard actor was spotted in Mumbai, India, on Saturday, April 23, and looked to be in good spirits as he grinned and took selfies with admirers.

And, while they appear to be taking a well-deserved break from Hollywood following Smith’s outburst at the 94th Annual Academy Awards over a joke about his wife made by Chris Rock — with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor getting up from his seat at the awards show and slapping the comedian across the face — Smith and Pinkett Smith appear to still have a long way to go in terms of getting back on track.

Following the Oscars catastrophe, the famous couple appears to be more tense than ever. “Tension has been apparent between them,” a source claimed, adding, “There have been difficulties for years, but they’re scarcely communicating right now.”
