Gmail is down, with thousands of users reporting.

Gmail users have reported being unable to access their emails this evening, with indications that the system is down for some.

According to source, the email service, which is used by about 1.5 billion people globally, is having problems preventing users from accessing messages.

Several customers experienced problems accessing their inboxes on social media, with several requesting assistance from Gmail’s official account.

“Can someone please help me… I am literally desperate,” one person who required access to her emails wrote.

I’m trying to log in even though I had a backup email and a phone number registered, but for some reason they changed both to my old number, which is no longer functional.

“Can someone kindly explain what’s going on? I’m desperate for answers.”

“Is anyone having difficulty sending/receiving?” enquired one irritated user.

“Is #gmail down?” asked another. Is there anyone on #techtwitter who knows why I can’t open #gmail while verifying with my phone?”

“Are you having any problems with Gmail right now?” someone else asked. As of 30 minutes ago, no one in our organization could send or receive emails. “The workspace account and user accounts appear to be in good working order.”

Around 11 p.m., people began reporting problems with their email.

It’s unclear what triggered the outage or how long it will take to restore service.

Nearly half of all Gmail users (approximately 44 percent) are having problems getting mail, while 37% are having problems with the site’s server connection.
