Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was congratulated on becoming the country’s new foreign minister by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto stated on Twitter that he had received the call from his American colleague and thanked him for the congratulations.

The two sides discussed enhancing the mutually advantageous and broad-based partnership between Pakistan and the United States during the phone discussion, according to the tweet.

The two leaders also discussed promoting peace and security in the country and throughout the region.
