The UK’s largest ever EuroMillions prize of £184 million has been claimed.
A BRIT has claimed a staggering £184 million EuroMillions prize, making them wealthier than Adele.
After winning last night, a single ticket holder has received the country’s largest-ever National Lottery payout.
An anonymous ticket holder previously held the record, winning £170 million in October 2019.
But the jackpot this week is considerably greater. It dwarfs the £130 million fortune of the vocalist of Someone Like You.
Surprisingly, a British worker earning an average wage of £31,258 would need 5,781 years to earn the same amount.
“This is simply great news,” Camelot’s senior winners’ advisor Andy Carter stated.
Last night, history was made when a single UK ticket purchaser won the largest ever National Lottery reward, and we’re overjoyed that we’ve now received a claim.
“Right now, our focus is on guiding ticket holders through the process and assisting them in beginning to enjoy their genuinely life-changing and record-breaking victory.”
In 2011, Colin and Chris Weir of Largs, Scotland, won £161,653,000, while Adrian and Gillian Bayford of Haverhill, Suffolk, won £148,656,000.
Last night’s jackpot winner is the 14th to win more than £100 million on Euro Millions since its inception in 2004, and the sixth in the United Kingdom this year.
Since March, the award has been rolled over.
