After dealing with her own mental health, a woman who became a psychiatric nurse says it fulfils her soul.
Ioana Stancu, 22, of Newport, became a nurse after her mental health began to improve after a battle with melancholy and anxiety.
“I work for the love of it, not for the money,” she explained.
Ioana now utilizes TikTok to encourage individuals to open out about their feelings and to let them know they are not alone.

Ioana, who travelled to Wales on her own at the age of 18, spent two years on antidepressants before deciding to help others.
“No matter how horrible I feel or how bad my day is, the moment I step through the hospital door, I feel happy,” she added.
“It makes me glad to know that I am there and that I am helping my patients.”
Even when I’m not at work, I wonder if they ate, how their day went, if they’re happy – all because I care about them so much.”
