A tornado in Germany hurts 43 persons.

According to police, a tornado “cut a path of destruction” through multiple cities in western Germany, injuring 43 people.

Officers in Paderborn claimed the storm ripped off roofs and left debris strewn for kilometers.

According to them, ten people have suffered significant injuries, and one woman’s life is in danger.

A 38-year-old male was also killed in the violent storms that hit the region on Friday.

Police tweeted photographs of trees that had been felled or split in half and roofs that had been stripped of tiles, while images on social media looked to depict a tornado’s rotating column of air tossing debris. Countless roofs have been damaged or destroyed. “Many trees are still lying on smashed automobiles,” stated police in Paderborn, a town of around 150,000 people.

According to local media, the 38-year-old man died in the town of Wittgert, around 180 kilometers (111 miles) south-west of Paderborn.

According to investigators, he was electrocuted in a flooded cellar.

According to a fire service official, the town of Lippstadt, some 30 kilometers (18 miles) from Paderborn, was also likely impacted by a tornado, however no injuries were reported.
