Paul Pogba is said to have agreed to return to Juventus.

The 29-year-old is a free agent as his contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season.

Manchester City were rumored to be interested in signing the 2018 World Cup winner, but Pogba feared a backlash from United fans.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain was keen to sign the player in order to bring him back to France.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus has won the fight to secure his services.

It will be the Old Lady’s second free agent signing after he first ran his contract down at the Theatre of Dreams in 2012.

He lasted for four years, winning the Serie A title every season, before returning to United in a club-record deal.

According to Gazzetta, Pogba will earn £8.5 million per year in Turin after bonuses.

The Frenchman has taken a significant wage reduction in order to rejoin Juve.

Pogba presently earns £290,000 per week at United, but he will now earn £163,500 per week in Italy.
