Climate activists set a camp on the grounds of Cornwall Council.

Climate activists have set up camp outside County Hall in Truro, demanding Cornwall Council to “raise commitment and action immediately.”

They intend to stay for two weeks and will conduct a series of workshops and training sessions.

Topics to be discussed, according to organizers, will include the environmental emergency, the housing issue in Cornwall, renewable energy, and food sustainability.

Cornwall Council has been reached out to for comment.

‘Increase the pressure.’

Environmental activists from throughout the county have gathered at the camp.

They intend to greet those attending the council’s annual general meeting on Tuesday (AGM).

Charlie Lewin, a camper, stated, “Cornwall Council has made considerable progress toward its goal of net zero emissions.”
