Warships from the Royal Navy,

Warships from the Royal Navy could be dispatched to safeguard cargo ships.

According to reports, the United Kingdom and NATO partners may dispatch Navy warships to secure a safe passage for grain exports from Odesa.

A Russian blockade of Black Sea ports could create a global famine, threatening millions of lives as tonnes of grain await transport from Ukraine throughout the world.

Ukraine, one of the world’s largest grain producers, used to export the majority of its supplies via seaports, but since Russia moved soldiers into Ukraine, it has been forced to sell via train or minor Danube River ports.

And now, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis has stated that he had spoken with UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.

He allegedly also stated that other NATO members and grain-dependent countries, like as Egypt, and may be willing to send military assistance.

According to source, the operation would entail warships clearing the port of Odesa of mines and then protecting them while they crossed the Black Sea.

Long-range missiles are also said to be deployed as a deterrent.

Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has proposed for such a corridor, claiming that it will benefit both Ukraine and the world.

“We require a promise from our partners, of course a defense guarantee and a security guarantee.”

However, any corridor built to ensure a safe route for food shipments out of Odesa would require Russian approval.
