Hope ‘House of the Dragon’ succeeds more than ‘The Rings of Power’

On August 21, HBO will premiere House of the Dragon, the much-anticipated prequel to Game of Thrones, while Amazon Prime Video will begin streaming Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power on September 2. The two concerts, which are expected to be the most eagerly anticipated in 2022, will square off in an all-out battle to the finish line.

House of the Dragon and Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power are both supported by Game of Thrones author George R R Martin. He does, however, have high hopes for the Game of Thrones spin-off, which he believes will triumph against The Hobbit. A dream showdown is on the horizon… Martin, on the other hand, isn’t entirely sure about it.

Martin, on the other hand, isn’t a complete agnostic. “Both programmes have my support. I’m more than capable of competing. I’d want to see us do better in the future “he said. “The more awards we win, the better, so if they win six, which they should, then I hope we win seven. However, it’s an excellent fantasy tool. Fantasy is my favorite genre. Sci-fi is my favorite genre.”

For example, Martin said in the same piece that networks are frequently seeking for pitches that “compare things to previously successful items.” Previously, Game of Thrones was referred to as “The Sopranos of the Middle Earth” by the author.
