Pakistan rises 14 spots in UN e-governance ranking

Pakistan has made a significant leap in the latest United Nations e-Governance ranking, moving up 14 places to secure the 136th position in the E-Government Development Index (EGDI).

Previously the country’s ranking was at 150 in 2022, reflecting substantial progress in its e-governance capabilities.

For the first time, Pakistan has been included in the top rankings of the EGDI.

In addition to the overall improvement, Pakistan has also advanced in the E-Participation Index, reaching the 88th position.

Just two years ago, the country was ranked 106th in this index, and its e-participation value has increased from 0.36 to 0.49.
