Military foiled APS-like tragedy in Wana: Khawaja Asif
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday lauded the Pakistan Army’s bravery and strategy in the recent Wana operation, declaring it a complete success.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, he said that all the terrorists involved in the attack were eliminated and that no casualties were reported among Pakistan’s forces.
“The bravery and strategy of the Pakistan Army in the Wana operation was successful,” Asif stated, confirming that the military’s timely action thwarted a major terrorist plan.
‘Enemy wanted to repeat APS tragedy’
The defense minister revealed that the terrorists’ intent was to repeat the history of the APS tragedy, referring to the 2014 Peshawar Army Public School attack that claimed over 140 lives.
“The enemy’s plan was to repeat the history of the APS tragedy once again, but our armed forces have foiled this plan,” Asif said. He emphasized that Pakistan’s military remains on high alert and continues to neutralize threats across the country.
