The United States congratulates Shehbaz Sharif.
The US congratulated Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his election, saying it looked forward to continue its long-standing partnership with the country’s administration.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement provided by the US State Department, “We appreciate our relationship with Pakistan, which has been an important partner on a wide range of mutual interests for nearly 75 years.”
He stated that the US considers a strong, affluent, and democratic Pakistan to be critical to both countries’ interests.
Meanwhile, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang congratulated Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his election.
China and Pakistan, Li Keqiang stated in a congratulatory letter, were “unique all-weather strategic cooperating partners.”
