All tariffs on Ukraine are eliminated.

In order to aid Kyiv in its fight against the Russian invasion, Britain said it had lowered taxes on all Ukrainian imports while barring specific technology supplies to Moscow.

The UK’s foreign trade department announced Monday that it has removed “all levies on commodities imported from Ukraine,” including important exports like barley, honey, and chicken, in response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s request.

Anne-Marie Trevelyan, the UK’s international trade minister, said in a statement that the UK will continue to do everything possible to help Ukraine’s battle against Putin’s ruthless and unprovoked invasion.

At the same time, Britain announced that it will not export “items and technology that Russia could use to punish the valiant people of Ukraine.” Surveillance and interception equipment, for example, are likely to be included.

This week, the United Kingdom tightened its sanctions against Russia, targeting army officers and placing import bans on silver, wood products, and caviar.

The invasion has triggered a show of support on both sides of the Atlantic, with Western countries implementing a plethora of financial penalties and funneling supplies into Ukraine to help Kyiv repel Russian forces.

The latest British actions come as Russia warns that the crisis, which has now lasted three months, is on the danger of escalating into World War III.
