The fleece jacket worn by Zelensky sold for more than $100,000.
At a fundraiser for Ukraine in London on Thursday, President Volodymyr Zelensky’s autographed fleece jacket sold for £90,000 (about $111,000).
“The world couldn’t believe Ukraine and its government would last more than three days when the war started, but they did,” the Ukrainian Embassy to the United Kingdom said in a video posted on Twitter. “Today, the entire world is watching a man in a plain fleece jacket.”And now the legendary artefact, personally signed by President Zelenskyy, has arrived,” according to the statement.
The event, branded “Brave Ukraine,” aimed to “convey the stories of (Ukraine’s) fortitude, which became legendary throughout the conflict, as well as raise funds for the country’s reconstruction.”
