If Covid lockdown is fine, I’ll quit, says Starmer.
Mr Johnson is known to have attended at least three of the 12 gatherings under investigation by the Met.
The prime minister was asked if he was “shocked” at the degree of law-breaking in No 10 as he came for a special cabinet meeting at a pottery in Staffordshire.
He said, “When the thing is finished, we’ll have something to say about that.”
The Met said in a statement that the inquiry “remains active.” Additional fines are expected, but no timetable has been provided.
